Del Rio, TX – The members of the Community Health Improvement Coalition met to kick-start this new project. Those present for the meeting were representatives from different health agencies, such as the Texas Department of Health, BCFS Health and Human Services, City Health Department, the same local hospital, among others.
Del Río, Texas.– Con la finalidad de hacer los preparativos para la conferencia que presentarán sobre salud mental en el mes de octubre, los integrantes de la Coalición de Mejoramiento de la Salud de la Comunidad se reunieron para dar arranque a este nuevo proyecto.
También estuvieron presentes representantes de diferentes agencias de salud, como el Departamento de Salud del Estado de Texas, BCFS Health and Human Services, Departamento de Salud de la Ciudad, del mismo hospital local, entre otros.

Del Río, Texas.– Autoridades estatales, del Condado de Val Verde y de la Ciudad, firmaron la proclamación del “Mes Nacional de la Prevención del Abuso Infantil” para crear conciencia en esta población sobre cómo proteger y ayudar a los menores de edad.
La ceremonia se llevó a cabo en el Texas Community Bank, Community Hall, donde estuvieron presentes el personal del BCFS Health and Human Services-Del Rio, quienes organizan este evento cada año para ayudar a reducir el número de abusos contra menores de edad.
Del Rio, Texas.- State authorities, Val Verde County and the City, signed the proclamation of the “National Month of Prevention of Child Abuse” to raise awareness in this population on how to protect and help minors.
The ceremony was held at the Texas Community Bank, Community Hall, where the staff of the BCFS Health and Human Services-Del Rio, who organize this event every year to help reduce the number of abuses against minors, were present.

Children are vulnerable to many things, physically, mentally and emotionally. When organizations get together for the sake of the children, it is to address the concerns revolving around said children and how to better their situation.
Tuesday, the BCFS Health and Human Services-Del Rio hosted the Val Verde County Proclamation Ceremony to promote awareness and speak out against child abuse in Val Verde County for National Child Abuse Prevention Month.

Este evento es organizado por BCFS Health and Human Services-Del Rio, quienes durante todo el año están haciendo programas y actividades para promover la seguridad de los niños, como también para buscar involucrar a la comunidad y ayuden a lograr el objetivo.

When applying for the Head Start program parents must provide child’s birth certificate, immunization record, 1040, W2 or previous month’s pay stub that includes Y-T-D and proof of residency.
